Musicians have been recognized and booked into local clubs due to their involvement in the Players Club and many have found other players to form working bands.
Artists and Photographers have sold works and collaborated with other players on projects.
Writers have found renewed creativity and have been recognized, supported and celebrated!
In the summer season Players Club Musicians and Poets have the opportunity to revolve through a loop of designated performance venues. This allows them exposure, and the opportunity to sell CD's, and perform their original works.
Regina AaMacha having worked in the entertainment field as a singer/songwriter since the age of sixteen. Has toured and performed in all types of venues both nationally and internationally. After traveling for many years AaMacha chose to settle down in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware in 1999 and open an art gallery. Her gallery is named after lyrics in one of her songs~Magic of the Raven~ Legends & Lore Gallery and is Located at Shoppe Six, Rudddertowne, 113 Dickenson Street in Dewey Beach, Delaware.
The Players Club is a project she started including some of the most talented local musicians performing in the Rehoboth Beach area. Kenny Martin played bass and keyboards, Keith Mack played lead guitar, Martin LeMaire and Mike McShane played drums and percussion, Bruce Chappelle played bass and peddle steel guitar, Andrea Jones played saxophone and harmonica. The Players performed in many of the local clubs and were known around town as the All-Star Band due to our involvement in many other musical performance venues. All played with several bands and most still do.
The Players Club takes twist~ In 2002 Regina AaMacha asked Peggy Raley if the players could come to the vineyard and build a community of musicians, artists and writers to work together and share their talents with one another. Raley agreed and also became involved with the group which met every Tuesday Night at 7pm. The room was vibrant and the Players Club flourished and grew.
The PCAC evolves~
AaMacha & Raley decided as an effort to support the other local musicians and raise awareness of the Players Club to host a local Grammies. The first had 32 performers and was judged by a host of local club owners, subsequently all performers were recognized and booked for the upcoming seasons. Many have gone on to form working bands and further gone in to building a bigger local arts scene!
The Dedication~
Unfortunately Kenny Martin~ who was referred to as the GLUE of the Players club project passed away a few years ago.We all miss him very much. He was a GREAT performer and a wonderful kind hearted man!One of our biggest supporters Tom Ryan~ a wonderful man and great supporter of the local musicians helped to build the venue. He is only with us to day in spirit but we can still feel his influence. Dennis Reardon~ yet another big supporter who is no longer alive, but is graciously remembered for supporting the local musicians in more than just a few ways... We dedicate the Players Club Awards Ceremony in the memory of Kenny Martin, Tom Ryan & Dennis Reardon!
